Bio
Mark Powers complete his Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology) at the University of Texas at Austin and his residency at the University of Washington. He has held positions at Harvard University, Boston University, the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, the University of Pennsylvania, Southern Methodist University, the University of Texas at Austin, and is now the Director of Trauma Research at Baylor University Medical Center. Research interests include 1) PTSD Treatment/Prevention, 2) Resilience Training/Human Performance, and 3) pain management. Federal funding includes: NIH, HHS, DoD, and DARPA. Studies run across 4 Level I Trauma Centers and with military/law enforcement. Dr. Powers has over 140 publications and is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
