Marco L. Carrera received the Ph.D. degree in atmospheric and oceanic sciences from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2002. He is currently a Research Scientist in the Meteorological Research Division of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in Dorval, QC, Canada. His research focuses upon the development of land surface data assimilation systems for improved initialization of ECCCs environmental prediction models.
