Montserrat Robles Viejo, M.Sc. and PhD in Physical Science, Associate Professor in the Applied Physics Department at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (Spain). Her research areas span Electronic Health Records, Biomedical Data Mining and Medical Image. She established of the Biomedical Informatics Group (IBIME, www.ibime.upv.es) at Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (UPV) in 1999. Currently, she is the Director of The Instituto Universitario de Aplicaciones de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicaciones Avanzadas (I.U. ITACA) (www.itaca.upv.es) of UPV, a research institute comprising 11 groups. He has been the principal investigator at UPV on several national and international research projects, including the EU projects E-Tumour on decision support for brain tumour diagnosis and prognosis, HealthAgents on the application of agent technology for decision support in health and TRIALME sponsored by Spanish Ministry of Education on the reuse of Electronic Health Records in clinical trials. She is co-author of more than 70 papers on biomedical informatics
