Bio
Lino is a Senior Scientist in 23andMe’s Therapeutics division where he is involved in target discovery and validation. Prior to this, he worked for 15 years in Genentech’s Protein Chemistry department where he oversaw a group that discovered and characterized therapeutically important protein-receptor interactions. Lino received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed his Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied the structural specificity of protein interactions. Lino did a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford focusing on the structures and biochemical properties of neuronal membrane proteins involved in neurotransmitter release.
