Bio
My research program investigates neural cardiovascular control mechanisms at rest and during exercise in healthy humans as well as patients with various pathophysiological conditions. Specific emphasis is placed on hemodynamic determinants of blood pressure and its control via the baroreflex and the exercise pressor reflex. I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Brasilia where I teach Human Cardiovascular Control to graduate students.
