In 1985, she continued her public health career with the National Immunization Program working on childhood vaccine preventable diseases. From 1993 through 1998, she was on detail to Walter Reed’s Retrovirology Program, working in Thailand on some of the first international HIV vaccine trials. Since 1998, she has been in her current position in the Division of STD Prevention, working on and supervising research on sexually transmitted infections.
