Larry Guy

Larry Guy is a Staff Consultant in Mechanical Engineering for Ball Aerospace. Mr. Guy currently is the mechanisms lead engineer on the NASA IXPE Project. He has over 30 years of mechanical component and subsystem design, development and test experience. For much of the past 20 years, he has contributed in the mechanical lead role to the development of subsystems such as fast steering mirrors, pointing mechanisms, and gimbals as well as complete systems including laser communication terminals, microwave imaging instruments and LIDAR systems. He earned a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1983. He received a NASA Space Act award in 1993 for development of the pointing and roll mechanism for the Ultraviolet Coronagraph Spectrometer (UVCS) instrument‥.
