Lamis Chalak

Lamis Chalak earned her PhD in Plant Physiology from the University of Montpellier, France. She has served as Head of Plant Biotechnology Department at the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute [1996-2008], then as Head of Plant Production Department at the Faculty of Agronomy of the Lebanese University [2014-2017]. She is presently a full professor at the same Faculty, where she is teaching agrobiodiversity, arboriculture, oliviculture, viticulture, biotechnology courses. Her research interests are focused on agrobiodiversity with an emphasis on olive and fruit genetic resources. She is the author of more than 70 publications in peer reviewed journals on biotechnology, agrobiodiversity and plant genetic resources.
