Communicating results from the IPBES assessments bridging the gap between science and policy. Working in the Udzungwa Mts. in Tanzania for 25+ years on conservation of forest biodiversity incl. population studies and habitat requirement of the Udzungwa Forest Partridge. Also worked several years on the conservation of Tanzanian wetlands. Work with ECOAN in the high Andes Peru on waterbirds in Lake Junin and related conservation work. Work on assessments of the development of numbers and abundance of breeding birds in Denmark. Work on assessments of the status of worlds wetlands including peatlands and their importance in climate change mitigation.
