Kyle R. Anderson

I develop multiphysical (physics-based) models of volcanic systems which relate magma physics with diverse types of observations including ground deformation, eruption rate, and gas emissions. I combine models with observed data and Bayesian statistics to better understand volcano source properties and, in some cases, attempt to forecast future behavior. I also study various types of episodic/repeating volcanic activity.
