个人简介
Kumar K. Tamma is currently Professor and Technical Director with the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Army High Performance Computing Research Center (AHPCRC), University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He has authored or coauthored over 150 research papers in archival journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. His primary areas of research encompass computational mechanics with emphasis on multiscale/multiphysics and fluid-thermal-structural interactions, structural dynamics and contact-impact penetration, computational aspects of microscale/nanoscale heat transfer, composites and manufacturing processes and solidification, computational development of finite-element technology and time-dependent algorithms, and development of techniques for applications to large-scale problems and high-performance parallel computing environments. He serves on the Editorial Board of ten journals.
Prof. Tamma is a Fellow of the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute. He is also a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the International Association of Computational Mechanics (IACM), and the United States Association for Computational Mechanics (USACM). He has presented several invited keynote lectures at national/international conferences.
