K. Umesh

Dr. Umesh Kizhakkinan is a research fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He has obtained a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Science, India. His areas of research are smart composite structures, probabilistic modeling, etc. Prior to joining SUTD, he had worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science. He had worked on multiple funded projects by Boeing, Bell Helicopter, and GTRE-DRDO. In these projects, he has studied fatigue and impact behavior of composite structures. At SUTD, he is working on developing machine learning models for the additive manufacturing process.
