Bio
Hitoshi Kiuchi (M’09) received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan, in 1982 and 2001, respectively. In 1982, he joined the Radio Research Laboratory, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (now the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology), Tokyo, Japan. He was in charge of VLBI (very long baseline interferometer), especially a correlation processing system, a data-acquisition system, and a reference frequency system. In 2004, he joined the National Astronomical Observatory in Japan. Since then, his research activity has been concerned with a photonic local system, a holography system, and a THz source for the ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array) radio interferometer. Also, he is in charge of development of an MKID readout system.
