Kenneth Label

Ken LaBel, head of the Radiation Effects and Analysis Group, has been at NASA/GSFC since 1983. He has worked in areas ranging from spacecraft ground systems, to flight hardware, to advanced technologies, to radiation effects. He has led the radiation effects group at GSFC since 1990 and has authored/co-authored over 50 papers from fiber optics to spaceflight data analysis to radiation effects. He is currently the Project Manager for the NASA Electronics Radiation Characterization (ERC) Project which provides radiation evaluation of emerging technologies as well as Deputy Discipline Scientist for the new Living with a Star/Space Environment Testbed Program. In his “copious” spare time, Ken is PI on flight radiation/technology experiments
