Kalyan R. Piratla received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India, in 2007 and 2008, respectively, followed by a PhD degree in Construction Management from Arizona State University in 2012. Dr. Piratla is presently an assistant professor in the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering and Science at Clemson University. His research interests lie in the area of sustainable and resilient design of civil infrastructure systems with focus on underground infrastructure.
