Tim Kaldewey

Tim Kaldewey IBM Watson, New York City, NY 10003 USA (tkaldew@us.ibm.com). Dr. Kaldewey is the Performance Architect for the Watson Innovations (Research and Development) group. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2010. He joined IBM Research in 2010 and moved to his current position in the Watson Group when it was established in 2014. Before joining IBM, he worked at Oracle's special projects group as a Senior Researcher with a focus on high-performance data management. Dr. Kaldewey has published more than two dozen articles, which include two best paper awards in major conferences. He is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches selected GPU acceleration topics.
