Kaile Zhang

My research is focused on understanding the complex dynamics of microbial communities, particularly how they are influenced by nutritional factors such as carbon and nitrogen, as well as environmental variables. I am particularly interested in exploring how these microbial-environment interactions impact soil nutrient cycling, which in turn, significantly affects ecosystem functions and services.
