Joseph A. Wehrmeyer

Joseph A. Wehrmeyer received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, in 1981 and 1986, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, in 1990. Before returning to Vanderbilt in 1997 as a Research Associate Professor, he worked at both the University of Missouri-Columbia and the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, AL. His current research interests include the use of propellants, traditionally used for rocket propulsion, for other innovative applications.
