Physical processes responsible for how stars evolve, die, and affect the Universe. My focus has been on:
! Progenitors of stellar explosions, such as Supernovae and Gamma-ray bursts
! Evolution of massive stars across cosmic time
! Outflows and atmospheres of massive stars
! First stars, their fates, and their impacts on the Universe
I have been employing theoretical and observational approaches, combining multi-disciplinary techniques:
! Multi-dimension radiative transfer and hydrodynamical modeling of stellar atmospheres and winds
! Numerical models of stellar structure and evolution
! Observations using optical interferometry, multi-wavelength spectroscopy and photometry
