Jorge a Porti

Jorge Portı´ (A’91–M’09) was born in Cartagena, Spain, in 1963. He received the Licenciado degree in physics and Ph.D. degree from the University of Granada, Granada, Spain, in 1986 and 1993, respectively. In 1990, he joined the Applied Physics Department, University of Granada, where he is currently a Professor. His research interest is focused on the numerical modeling of electromagnetic and acoustic wave-propagation phenomena using the transmission line modeling method. His contributions are concerned with method fundamentals with a particular emphasis on electromagnetic applications. He is currently involved with the modeling of electromagnetic propagation through planetary atmospheres.
