个人简介
Jonathan E. Proesel (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, Urbana, IL, USA, in 2004, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, in 2008 and 2010, respectively.
From 2010 to 2020, he was a Research Staff Member in communications circuits and systems with the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, USA. He held internships with IBM Microelectronics, Essex Junction, VT, USA, in 2004, and IBM Research, Yorktown Heights, in 2009. He is currently the IC Team Lead and a Principal Engineer with Nubis Communications, New Providence, NJ, USA, where he works on analog and mixed-signal circuit design for optical transmitters and receivers. His research interests include high-speed optical and electrical communications, silicon photonics, data converters, and bioelectronics.
Dr. Proesel is a Senior Member of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society. He was a recipient of the Analog Devices Outstanding Student Designer Award in 2008 and the SRC Techcon Best in Session Award for Analog Circuits in 2009, and a co-recipient of the Best Student Paper Award at the 2010 IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference and the 2018 IEEE Photonics Technology Letters Best Paper Award. He received multiple IBM technical awards. He has served on the Technical Program Committee of the Symposium on VLSI Circuits from 2018 to 2021.
