In cancer treatment, I have made advances in measuring treatment preferences in lung cancer and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Additionally, I have studied strategies for comprehensive treatment programs in liver and breast cancer, contributed to cancer prevention by studying both the overuse and underuse of cancer screening, and led the establishment of international standards for the measurement of preferences. I am also the founding editor of The Patient: Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, the first medical journal to focus exclusively on the perspectives of patients.
