He was the chairman of Academic Committee of Taiwan Oncology Society from 2013 to 2015 and Secretary General of Organizing Committee of Asian Society of Clinical Oncology in 2014. He also was the chairman of Medical Oncology Committee, Taiwan Oncology Society 2015 to 2017.

He is a member of several professional and cancer research societies, including American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, Taiwan Society of Internal Medicine, Taiwan Cooperate Oncology Group, Taiwan Clinical Oncology and Taiwan Oncology Society. His major interests are clinical trials for upper gastrointestinal Cancer, pancreatic-biliary cancer, GIST and neuroendocrine tumor & Quality of life. He has jointed many international clinical studies and also was principal investigator (PI) of several PI- initial studies. Till now, he has already published more than 200 peer review articles. The moreover, he is one of authors of Sunitinib study for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in NEJM 2011 and S-1 study (GEST study) for pancreatic cancer in Journal of Clinical Oncology 2013. Currently, he has several novel new drug studies in hand.
