Jehangir Khan currently works at Department of Zoology, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Our research team is working to control the transmission of dengue and Zika viruses using Wolbachia. We are looking in to the molecular mechanism of wolbachia based interference to viruses in vector mosquitoes. In addition, we work to observe the Wolbachia-based refractoriness of Anopheles mosquitoes to malaria parasites. Finally, to establish improved strategies based on Wolbachia for mosquito population replacement and suppression. My current project is ' Wolbachia based control of Vector mosquitoes for tropical diseases", Key Laboratory of Sun Yat-sen University - Michigan State University Joint Center of Vector Control for Tropical Diseases.
