My research interests focus on the evolution of galaxies and the nature of the Universe as a whole, primarily using large, statistical datasets. In the past, I worked on the DEEP2 and DEEP3 Galaxy Redshift Surveys and the AEGIS (All–Wavelength Extended Groth International Survey), CANDELS (Cosmic Assembly Near-Infrared Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey), and SDSS-IV/eBOSS collaborations. I am part of the DESI (Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument) collaboration that is now studying the nature of Dark Energy in detail over more than 10 billion years of cosmic history. I am also working on developing new techniques for future projects such as the Vera C. Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) and the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, which will use information from detailed images of the sky to explore Dark Energy further.
