Bio
Jean-Charles Bensadoun received the Bachelor's degree in biological sciences and the Master's degree in microbiology from the University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland, in 1993 and 1995, respectively.
He was engaged in research on specific sulfate-reducing bacterial populations of an alpine lake. From 1996 to 2000, he was engaged in research on oxidative stress and the development of therapeutic strategies in the context of Parkinson's disease at the University of Lausanne. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cardiff University, Wales, where he received a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation in 2002 and was engaged in the evaluation of therapeutic strategies for Huntington's disease and in the development of automated behavioral tasks in the nine-hole box apparatus for the characterization of neurodegenerative disorders in mice. In 2004, he was appointed a Senior Scientist and a Project Manager at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland.
