Jay R. Herman spends much of his time researching Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer, Atmospheric sciences, Aerosol, Troposphere and Ozone. His Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer research is multidisciplinary, relying on both Atmosphere, Haze, Sun photometer and Latitude. In his study, Haboob is strongly linked to Particulates, which falls under the umbrella field of Atmospheric sciences.
His studies deal with areas such as Remote sensing, Radiance and Irradiance as well as Aerosol.
