The focus of my work is primarily on environments that have been substantially disturbed by human activities. Such disturbances are frequently associated with sources containing complex mixtures of inorganic and emerging contaminants that have the potential to negatively impact both ecological and human health. More specifically, I seek to address the environmental issues that attend the implementation of reuse and management of urban stormwater runoff, municipal waste, and oilfield wastes.
