Juan Pablo Martínez

Juan Pablo Martínez Cortés was born in Zaragoza, Aragón, Spain, in 1976. He received the M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain, in 1999 and 2005, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Communications and Researcher at the Aragón Institute of Engineering Research, University of Zaragoza (BSICoS Group), and is also affiliated with the Biomedical Research Networking center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), Spain. From 2010 to 2014, he was the Coordinator of the M.Sc. Program in Biomedical Engineering. His research activities are focused on statistical signal processing methods to obtain clinical information and risk indices from invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular signals.
