Jon Petter Omtvedt

I'm a professor in Nuclear Chemistry at University of Oslo. My main research interest is chemical and physical properties of the Super-Heavy Elements, which we study in liquid phase using the unique liquid-liquid extraction system SISAK. I'm also active in developing extraction and production methods for Rare-Earth Elements and thorium using liquid-liquid extraction methods. In addition, I'm actively participating in international projects to develop and enhance teaching in Nuclear Chemistry.
