Jacopo Iacovacci

Jacopo Iacovacci received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from University of Rome La Sapienza in 2010, and his M.Sc. degree in Biophysics in 2012 from the same university. In 2013 he joined the Complex Systems and Networks Group at Queen Mary University of London where he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics in 2017 under the supervision of Dr. L. Lacasa and Dr. G. Bianconi with the thesis 'Motif formation and emergence of mesoscopic structures in complex networks'. From 2107 to 2019 he has worked as Research Associate in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London and as lab-based Visiting Researcher in the Molecular Biology of Metabolism Laboratory at The Francis Crick Institute. From 2019 to 2021 he was part of the Bioinformatics Team in the Division of Breast Cancer at the Institute of Cancer Research London as well as visiting researcher at the Department of Metabolism, Digestion, and Reproduction at Imperial College London. Since 2021 he has joined the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan as Principal Investigator of the project 'MicBioRadio: Discovering the microbiota potential for personalised radiotherapy’, funded by Fondazione Regionale Ricerca Biomedica. His interests and expertise focus on designing and developing network-based algorithms and machine learning tools that can be applied in the areas of omic data analysis and integration, and biomedical signals and image analysis.
