Jian Chen received the BE and ME degrees in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and the PhD degree in computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, in 2011. He is currently a performance architect with Intel Corporation. He received the Best Paper Award at the 2015 IEEE International Symposium on Performance Analysis of Systems and Software. His research interests include computer architecture, workload characterization, and performance modeling. He is a member of the IEEE and the ACM.
