Isabelle Laurion

Isabelle Laurion is currently a Professor of aquatic ecology and biooptics with the Centre Eau Terre Environnement of the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS-ETE), Quebec City, Canada. Her research program focuses on the effects of light and mixing regimes on lake biogeochemistry and microbial food webs. She is developing novel optical tools to study algal blooms and their response to environmental changes, notably through her involvement in NSERC Canadian Lake Pulse network. She is also interested in greenhouse gas emissions from wastewaters and lakes affected by eutrophication or permafrost thawing.
