Major projects have been completed for research organisations in Australia and New Zealand including Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), Dairy Australia (DA), AgResearch (New Zealand), University of Melbourne, CSIRO, University of New England, Department of Water and Energy, Department of Primary Industries and the Bureau of Rural Sciences. He also worked with the Australian Sheep CRC and University of New England to develop the plant and animal biophysical model components of the Ag360 project. More recently, he chaired the Science Advisory Panel commissioned by the NZ Ministry for Primary Industries to review the Overseer model, which has been the primary model used in NZ for fertiliser regulation and land use consent.
