Howuk Kim received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Inha University, Incheon, South Korea, in 2007 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2020. He was a Research Engineer with Hyundai Kefico Corporation, Gunpo, South Korea, from 2008 to 2015. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar with Micro/Nano Engineering Laboratory, North Carolina State University. His broad research interests involve high-temperature piezoelectric sensors, ultrasonic wave propagation, structural health monitoring (SHM) and nondestructive evaluation (NDE) techniques, and biomedical ultrasound transducers.
