Hossein Aghighi received the B.Sc. degree in natural resource engineering from the Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resource, Golestan, Iran, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in remote sensing and GIS from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in remote sensing from The University of New South Wales, Sydney, NSW, Australia, in 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Remote Sensing and GIS Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran. His research interests include remote sensing data processing and applications (optical, LiDAR, and radar), retrieval of vegetation biophysical and biochemical parameters from RS data, Internet of Things, and convergence and synergism between RS, GIS, and IOT for precision farming.
