个人简介
My main clinical interest is head and neck cancer and lung cancer. Now intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is the standard technique for radiation therapy of head and neck cancer, but no consensus on fractionation schedule. Goal of clinical research for both head and neck cancer and lung cancer is to find out the most effective fractionation (dose-time) schedule. We are installing new radiation therapy equipment; cobalt-MRI machine, ViewRay. The genuine real-time image-guided radiation therapy will come true with this equipment. We are planning to develop various treatment protocols.
Ongoing research projects include development of radiation sensitizer with epidermal growth factor, not epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors. Other projects include the development of predictive assay and biomarkers for radiation therapy. We will also evaluation the role of immune-related factors, such as PD-L1, on the response of radiation therapy.
