Hicham El Hamzaoui

Hicham El Hamzaoui received the Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France, in 2006. He is currently a research engineer in charge of materials manufacturing within the FiberTech Lille technological platform. This platform, mainly located at IRCICA institute (USR 3380), is dedicated to the development of innovative optical fibers. He is a member of Photonics group of PhLAM Laboratory, a mixed research unit (UMR 8523) under the dual supervision of the CNRS and the University of Lille, Lille, France. He coauthored 80 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, one book chapter, and he is listed as a co- inventor of two patents. His research interests include organic, inorganic, and hybrid materials. His present research interests include the synthesis and characterization of high-purity sol-gel silica-based glasses for optical applications.
