Bio
Hanming Wang received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston, Houston, TX, USA, in 1999.
He is currently a Research Scientist with the Chevron Energy Technology Company, San Ramon, CA, USA. He is also an Adjunct Professor with the University of Houston. In 1992, he was an Assistant Professor with China University of Petroleum, Qingdao, China. In 1999, he joined the Schlumberger Sugar Land Formation Evaluation Center, Sugar Land, TX, USA, as a Research Scientist/Tool Physicist. In 2008, he joined the Chevron Energy Technology Company, as a Resistivity Logging Expert. He has authored or coauthored more than 50 journal and conference papers. He holds 11 U.S. patents. His research interests include new tool concept study, sensor design/modeling, data processing, inversion, formation evaluation, and geosteering.
Dr. Wang was a recipient of the Distinguished Technical Achievement Award from Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA).
