Guiyun Gao is currently an Associate Researcher with the National Institute of Natural Hazards, Beijing, China. She has long been engaged in the laboratory experimental research of rock mechanics in the aspects of rock dynamic and static fracture, crack interaction, and fault fracture. At this stage, she mainly focuses on the experimental research of fracture mechanics of prestressed rock specimen tension fracture and the experimental research of seismic fault dynamic fracture based on the digital image correlation method.
