Fulvia Taddei

Fulvia Taddei received the M.S. degree in nuclear engineering and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 1997 and 2004, respectively. She has worked as a Researcher since 1999 at the Laboratorio di tecnologia Medica of the Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli. Since 2005, she coordinates the Computational Biomechanics Unit. She has published several papers on indexed international journal. Her research interests include: the development of automatic methods for the generation of subject-specific finite-element models of bone segments from diagnostic images for the in vivo prediction of fracture risk; finite-element analysis of the biomechanical behavior of prosthetic components; in vivo muscles' forces prediction during various motor tasks. In 2004, Dr. Taddei won the award as best biomechanical paper published in the Journal of Engineering in Medicine. She is a member of the European Society of Biomechanics since 2005.
