Francesco Brun

The research activities of Francesco Brun are mainly focused on the computational aspects of biomedical imaging. To be specific, the explored research fields involve enhanced methods for the reconstruction and characterization of micro-CT (Computed Tomography) images. Special emphasis is given to the case of spectral and phase contrast X-ray micro-CT with both conventional and synchrotron radiation sources. The research activities of Francesco Brun include also biomedical applications with special focus towards preclinical models in tissue engineering as well as applications in the neurosciences.
