His clinical and research interests include kidney disease, solid organ transplantation, and mycobacterial infection in the setting of HIV. Professor Post leads the GEN-AFRICA study, a multi-centre observational cohort study to investigate the role of clinical and genetic predictors of kidney disease and other health issues in people of African ancestry with HIV. Current work is focused on the roles of Apolipoprotein L1 (APOL1) variants and sickle cell traits in kidney disease epidemiology, social determinants in the development of kidney disease and diabetes, and the clinical epidemiology of COVID-19. He is also the Principal Investigator of the FANTA, LAPTOP, WISARD, PIBIK and several commercially sponsored clinical trials.
