E. S. Jeng

Erik S. Jeng was born in Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1963. He received the B.S. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tam-Kang University, Tamsui, Taiwan, in 1985, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, State University of New York at Buffalo, in 1989 and 1992, respectively. In 1996, he was Manager of the Technical Divison, Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation, and conducted the development of advanced etching modules, including the reduction of plasma-induced damages. Since 1999, he has been Assistant Professor, Department of Electronic Engineering, Chun-Yuan Christian University, Chun-Li, Taiwan, conducting surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors' development for various applications and leading industry-funded programs including embedded memory development. His current research interests are in the areas of advanced CMOS processing technologies, characterization, simulation and modeling of deep-submicrometer NVM devices, and the cell array design for NVM applications. He is a co-holder of more than 120 U.S. and Taiwan patents.
