Eric Cator is currently a Professor in applied stochastic and the Director of the IMAPP Institute, Radboud University. His research interests are in probability and statistics, focusing on proving asymptotic properties of stochastic models, such as the contact process or specific estimators in non-parametric statistical models. He is also actively involved in interdisciplinary collaborations with astronomy and biology, developing state-of-the-art statistical methods for data specific to these fields, and he has given advice to many companies and research groups on their data analysis problems.
