Erin Leonard

Dr. Erin Leonard is a Research Scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). She earned a B.A. from University of California, Berkeley in Astrophysics and Planetary Science and a Ph.D. from University of California, Los Angeles in Geology with a focus on icy moons in the outer solar system, such as Europa. Her research focuses on geomorphologic mapping of icy satellites, structural analysis of the surface features, and how these surface observations can lead to implications for the subsurface or evolution of the body. Dr. Leonard also works in the Project Science teams for Europa Clipper and the Europa Lander mission concept, and aids in formulation to new missions to the outer solar system.
