E. Brian Welch (M'97) received a B.S. degree in biomedical–electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, MN, in 2003. Since 2004, he has been an On-site MR Clinical Scientist at Philips Healthcare, Cleveland, OH, as well as with the Institute of Imaging Science, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, where he has been a Visiting Assistant Professor, since 2004. His current research interests include magnetic resonance imaging, especially in the areas of alternative data acquisition and correction strategies, as well as quantitative MR imaging.
