I am a Full Professor and the Curator of Mammals at the Department of Zoology of the Federal University of Pernambuco. I work with several groups of mammals, but opossums are my focus group, and I am mostly interested in the morphological and functional diversity in mammals and the factors that may have lead to that diversity. Lately I have also been involved in projects involving scientific outreach and science education.
