Bio
David N. Smithe (M'07) received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 1987, for the study of parallel gradient effects on RF heating in tokamak fusion devices.
He is a Principal Scientist with Tech-X Corporation, Boulder, CO, USA, since 2005, where he specializes in theoretical and computational electromagnetics and plasma physics, with expertise in the finite-difference time-domain particle-in-cell method.
