Bio

David W. Gatchell, PhD, is currently the director of the Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MaDE) within the Segal Design Institute at Northwestern University. He holds joint positions in biomedical engineering and mechanical engineering as well. His research interests include understanding how undergraduates learn engineering principles and skills, including design skills.
